An outstanding dress that has been handmade to perfection, with skill and attention to detail. Made using a fabulous bold floral chiffon, and fully lined with a lovely soft pink acetate that has been joined under the bodice but left open from the waist . The bodice is darted and has a soft roll neck collar.
The sheer pale pink chiffon sleeves are a particular feature of this dress. Flowers from the excess fabric of the dress have been beautifully cut and appliqued to the sleeves. The sleeves are gathered into the fitted cuffs and thus creates a slightly puffed sleeve, which works so well with the fabric.There are five small, beautiful fabric covered buttons to each cuff with matching fabric loops. There is a zip opening to the centre back.
Long fluid dresses that spoke of freedom and far flung places were a huge part of 1970s fashion. This particular example is in immaculate condition and has a matching belt with pretty bow.
