1960s Blue Beaded Gown

We are happy to have acquired this fantastic blue beaded couture gown. This dress is luxurious in every way. The lining is a light blue silk, and the outer a lovely floral aqua blue lace. This has been extensively beaded by hand with silver blue bugle beads in leaf shapes. Small round silver beads have been sewn evenly across the entire dress. The neckline and cuffs of the dress are solidly beaded with the bugle beads and edged with the round silver beads. The neckline is classically 1960s, as is the shape of the dress falling from the round collar shift style. Small graceful pleats fall from the neckline.The sleeves are straight and 3/4 length. There is a zip opening to the back.

The beading design compliments the pattern of the lace so well, working together beautifully to create something very special.
