This fantastic find is a much sought after dress from designer Frederick Starke who designed clothes for celebrities of the day and was stocked in Liberty's. He began his own clothing line in 1920.
The dress is super stylish and has such a modern feel it's difficult to believe it is over 50 years old. The skirt is pleated at the back from the waist, and the back of the neckline is cut as a V to the middle of the back. The dress is lined in silk and polyester, but is lovely and light. The abstract printed fabric looks almost like a plaid and the many shades of blues, purples and greens merge beautifully. This dress is an effortless and timeless piece, which could be worn for the day or evening.
In mint condition.
