About Gently Worn Vintage - Couture Vintage Clothing
Gently Worn Vintage has grown from a long love affair with the elegance and glamour of earlier decades.
Some years ago Carole began collecting beautiful dresses but the passion grew so strong there was no space in the wardrobe and the time had come to let others wear and enjoy. Carole began selling on Ebay and quickly grew a reputation amongst her clients for beautifully individual and elegant timeless pieces.
A website was created, custom grew and the time was right to take part in selected Vintage Fairs around the South East. The client list grew, the clientele changed and soon the name Gently Worn was known by designers, buyers and stylists from across the UK and even further afield.
Carole’s daughter Sarah has now joined Gently Worn, with a successful background in the fashion industry Sarah brings new passion and a wealth of experience along with her inherited love of all things vintage.
Each piece is individually sourced from around the world, chosen for their beauty and timelessness. One off pieces of true workmanship, you will not be following the fashion pack in these items but creating your own truly individual style.

Research Inspiration
Among our collection there are some rare and unusual pieces which we are available to hire for research by historians, designers, costumiers and photographers.
